Senior Software Developer - Systems

We are looking for a talented software developer to take ownership over our highly scalable cloud-based processing pipeline. Our ideal candidate is excited by the idea of being one of the first core engineers in a growing startup, interested in the challenges of processing large amounts of data, and wants to participate in the broader "big data" and analytics communities through talks and open source projects.

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, test, and deploy data processing infrastructure
• Research and assess the viability of new processing and data storage technologies
• Participate in design and code reviews
• Troubleshoot and optimize existing processing

Requirements:

• Bachelor's in Computer Science / related field or equivalent work experience
• Experience with:
  • - Ruby
  • - Java
  • - MySql or PostgreSQL
  • - Building analytics or data processing systems
  • - Large data sets
• A focus on scaling horizontally rather than vertically
• Passion for and ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment

Senior Software Developer - Front end

We are looking for a talented software developer to build new customer-facing features and own the underlying code for our UI. If you are into web app development with an eye for elegant UI and data visualizations, then we are interested.

Responsibilities:

• Further develop our analytics dashboards and UI
• Design, implement, test, and deploy data processing infrastructure
• Participate in design and code reviews
• Redesign / optimize existing components in our interface

Requirements:

• Bachelor's in Computer Science / related field or equivalent work experience

Marketing Intern

Localytics is seeking a Marketing intern to help drive both inbound and outbound marketing by building brand awareness, initiating and optimizing marketing efforts, developing and publishing case studies using our analytics services, and assisting with web design and content.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with updating the Localytics web site with new content and changes
• Define and setup new dashboards/metrics/analysis to track marketing performance and make recommendations
• Monitor and update Localytics RSS, Twitter and social media accounts.
• Use analytical skills and Localytics services to create and publish blog posts, case studies and press releases

Requirements:

• Undergraduate or graduate student, preferably a Marketing or Communications major
• Interest in the media industry
• Strong academic record
• Ability to work independently and complete assigned tasks within identified timeframes
• Organized, thorough, and detail oriented
• High level of energy, enthusiasm and integrity
